World Piece is a pizza market place designed for Le 5 Stagioni, an international design competition to create a pizzeria of the future. As technology continues to evolve, people from all over the world are more interconnected than ever. This pizza marketplace will bring together people of all cultures and backgrounds and pizza recipes from all over the world. Research was conducted to identify the most popular pizza ingredients and production methods in various countries around the world.  The concept is inspired by Kevin Lynch’s mental mapping of a city including paths, districts, landmarks, and sightlines.  There are two paths to take through World Piece: the winding, explorative path inspired by Venice, Italy and the direct, linear path inspired by Runway in California.
